Sad news coming in. RIP
A person has died at Ansdell and Fairhaven train station after emergency services were called at 8.25am today .The person was pronounced dead at the scene. British Transport Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Ansdell and Fairhaven station at 8.25am this morning following reports of a casualty near the tracks."The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance Service confirmed: "We were called at 08:21 to a medical incident involving a male in his 40s. We attended with an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle. We did not take anybody to hospital."
