ScotRail services were facing disruption due to an incident between Glasgow Central and BellshillA statement shared by ScotRail on Twitter read:"Sadly, a person has been hit by a train between Glasgow Central and Bellshill.British Transport Police have since confirmed that a person has died as a result of the incident.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said:"Officers were called to the line in Uddingston at 11.14am following reports of a casualty on the tracks."The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal."
