Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly made an offer for Bafana Bafana attacker Percy Tau who recently stipulated that he will join Amakhosi if Pitso Mosimane does too. Additionally, Tau recently stated that he would be open to joining Amakhosi. However, he stipulated one condition – that Pitso Mosimane joins Chiefs. So, what does this mean for Tau, Mosimane and Chiefs? Bafana Bafana attacker, Tau has been linked with Tau for months.
According to Kooora, one unnamed Qatari side has sent an offer to the Club of the Century for the 46-capped international, but the same report claims that a source from within the Egyptian side has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs have also submitted an offer. Previously, Nasreddine Nabi stated that he was impressed with Tau. Although, he did not make an offer for the Lion of Judah in the last transfer window. Now, Chiefs are in the market for a striker. In fact, Nabi and Amakhosi management have prioritized the need to sign a striker. Moreover, Tau is set to leave Al Ahly this January. Meaning, this is a golden opportunity for the Soweto giants to bring the Bafana Bafana attacker to Chiefs. Meanwhile, Tau recently lost his place in the national squad due to his lack of game time. Therefore, the potential move to Naturena would be a win-win scenario for Chiefs and Tau. Ultimately, Amakhosi needs an attacker and Tau needs game time.
