Pep after thrilling Real draw: Why Foden was grumpy with me
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed why Phil Foden seemed unhappy about being subbed off during the match against Real Madrid .
There were six different goalscorers on the night, with Bernardo Silva opening the scoring for the English giants just two minutes in, before the Spanish giants equalised through a deflected shot by Eduardo Camavinga, which was credited as a Ruben Dias own goal. Potentially the goal of the night came in the 79th minute, though, when Federico Valverde netted an amazing volley off a Vinicius Junior cross to see the game end 3-3. However, upon being withdrawn from the pitch and replaced with Julian Alvarez in the 87th minute, Foden did not seem please with his manager, and Guardiola has since explained what the issue was, and why a number of stars did not feature too.
