Only Fools and Horses fans have finally found out who sang the theme tune to the BBC comedy
Only Fools and Horses fans have been taken aback after finding out who actually sung the theme tune for the iconic BBC sitcom.
Often listed as one of the UK's best programmes of all time, the show follows wheeler dealer Del Boy, played by David Jason, getting himself and brother Rodney, played by Nicholas Lyndhurst, into many sticky situations. For many fans, Rodney is synonymous with the theme tune's chorus: "But here's the one that's driving me berserk. Why do only fools and horses work?"But it wasn't Nicholas who sang these lines at all, the Mirror reports, it was John Sullivan.
Jen said: "I thought they all were, Rodney on lead and Trigger, Boycey and Denzel on backing. No idea why I thought that". @sabeszz said: "Yes and I was shocked when I found out it's actually John Sullivan because it sounds so much like Rodney, it's crazy".John Sullivan also wrote the theme song, as well as those for other British sitcoms Just Good Friends, and Dear John.
