Far-right rioters have taken to the streets en masse in recent weeks across the UK, and a swathe of protests are now thought to be planned for today (Wednesday, August 7)
People across the UK have admitted they are "too scared to go to work" or leave their homes after far-right rioters took to the streets in a number of cities nationwide.
Posting to X one said: "Horrific scenes coming out of my city tonight." The post came alongside a picture of a burning car. "Prayers have been cancelled for our safety. Mosques attacked and cars set alight. I live minutes away from the street in this photo. Safe to say I'm scared to go to work tomorrow.
Meanwhile a third person said she was afraid to go to her job at a hospital as a result of the route she takes to get there. "I am too scared to go to work at the hospital where I work," she said. "My drive takes me past a hotel that homes refugees, which is a target for the Far Right tomorrow." A fourth added: "So today in my town where I work at the hospital there will be protests/riots between British and Muslims, never been so scared to go to work. If you can please stay home and stay safe."
