Chad Le Clos has picked up an injury ahead of the games and is the third-oldest male swimmer in Paris but he believes he has a shot.

On top of his Olympic credentials, Le Clos has an incredible record in other FINA events and has been particularly dominant in short course swimming down the years. Le Clos is racing hurt after picking up a muscular injury in training for the games, but refused to let that stand in the way of him turning out in Paris.

Image: World AquaticsLe Clos believes that if he can break through the heats and get himself into the semi-finals, he will have a shot at making a final where anything could happen.“I think that the semi-final will be the harder race, because there will be 16 swimmers going for a place in the final. I’m hoping to get there and once I do I’ll be chasing another dream.
