A thug who abducted a 71-year-old woman in her own home while in possession of a knife avoided jail.

Sheriff Ian Fleming ordered Mills to do 240 hours of unpaid work and put him under supervision for 18 months.The sheriff said: “Offences such as this almost automatically attract a custodial sentence due to the gravity and age of the victim.“You have had difficulties with bullying and you had not offended prior or since these events.
