State House Rep. Kevin Boyle placed state House Democrats in an awkward spotlight on Friday after a video appeared on social media.
“I can f***ing end this bar, by the way,” Boyle shouted, saying, “This bar is done.” “Don’t you know who the f*** I am? This bar is done tomorrow!”
State House Democratic leadership released a statement late Friday evening saying it was aware of a video circulating on social media. “It is very troubling,” the statement noted, adding that Boyle had been open about his challenges. As of 5:30 p.m. Monday, Boyle has not filed to run for that state House seat in northeast Philadelphia. Neither has any other Democrat. Feb. 13 is theMay primary. To date, two Republicans, Army veteran Patrick Gushue and Burholme Civic Association President Aizaz Gill, have already filed.
