A pedestrian is dead after a two-vehicle collision that occurred Wednesday afternoon, according to Toronto police.at around 3:11 p.m. after reports of a collision.
Officers arrived to find one vehicle pushed off the roadway where, according to police, a pedestrian had been struck.According to medics on scene, the man’s injuries were life-threatening, police stated. Police said, on Twitter at 3:37 p.m., they were “currently working to save his life,” and added that officers would take the man to hospital on “emergency run.”
In an updated post, police said the victim was freed with help from a tow-truck driver and was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.Police said roads in the area would be closed while they investigate.
