As Mother's Day approaches, local presenter and celebrity Pearl Modiadie is remembering her late mother in a tear-jerking post.

The loss of a loved one is one of the hardest things to have to go through, and while acceptance may take a while, memories of them will forever be etched in your mind – which is what Pearl touched on: her mom's last breath.

Looking back on the day she lost her mother, the radio show host painfully recalled how her mom, who had been discharged from hospital and was making"great progress", kept on asking for the time shortly after having breakfast. "The time she was asking about eventually came and took her away. It was time," she wrote in post with a collage of her mom.

"I remember laying on her chest having convinced myself that she was only sleeping, that she'd wake up. She didn't wake up & every year we remember her on this day." The 31-year-old penned how she was particularly battling to deal with her mom's death this year."This year is particularly difficult for some reason," to which she added:"Remembering her actually hurts today. It feels like she has died all over again and it has made me very sad."
