A whimsical yet wearable collection presented on the penultimate day of London Fashion Week
, Albou joined his mother at Paul & Joe in 2022 to resurrect its menswear line. His acclaimed debut collection viewed Parisian chic through a Seventies lens, resulting in crochet berets, houndstooth overcoats and slimline two-pieces crafted from velour and paisley-patterned cotton.
That explains the Seurat-esque palette, blossomy embroidery, breezy fabrics and dainty accessories that complement the collection's overarching Wonderland aesthetic. Paul & Joe AW23 does not yield to the moody aura of darker days – it pines for the jocund spirit of summer. A universally relatable notion.
