“I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life,” Mahomes said. “Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long.”“Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song,” he said. “You can see it by how she talks. Even when she’s talking about football, when she’s learning it, you can see her business mind putting it together. It’s almost like she’s trying to become a coach.
“Ultimately, if Trav is happy, we’re happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav. It’s such a treat to be able to do that on and off the field. But it’s been amazing,” she told co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on April 1. that Swift is “a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman,” and recounted the moment he realized Swift hadn’t gotten “the diva memo.”
“We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around,” he said. “And I’m just thinking, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t get the spoiled musician. She doesn’t know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot.
