Pat Sajack reveals 'Wheel of Fortune' retirement: 'The end is near'
The veteran entertainer, 75, says he’s almost at “the end” of his time on “Wheel of Fortune” after serving 41 years as host.on Thursday. “We’re getting near the end. It’s been a long [time]. We’re not gonna do this for another 40 years. The end is near,” he said.
Pat Sajak says he’s nearing the end of his time hosting “Wheel of Fortune.” The veteran entertainer made the remarks on Thursday, also hinting that his longtime co-host Vanna White could be eyeing an exit.Sajak has hosted the long-running game show for 41 years. He signed a new contract keeping him on the program until 2024, but his new comments indicate he may be considering leaving early.
Sajak and White have co-hosted “Wheel of Fortune” together since 1983. The pair are pictured during the 1980s.White was also interviewed, and expressed a similar sentiment.
