Police have rescued 39-year-old Owen Silozi, a pastor who was abducted by five suspected criminals after a woman lured him with a call requesting him to meet her.

"Witnesses reported that the vehicle, a white Toyota Allion, sped off towards Kafue road," deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale told the media.Following the abduction, the alleged criminals contacted Pastor Silozi's wife, demanding a ransom of R6,9k."Police officers managed to apprehend the suspects and rescue the pastor, who was found with a deep cut on his head," Mr Mwale reported.The police continue to bring all involved to justice and ensure the community's safety.
