More than 13,000 passengers passed through the Sault Ste. Marie Airport in May — a slight increase from the previous month, but still well below pre-pandemic levels.
All told, 13,016 passengers used the local airport last month, up from from 12,280 in April. During the same month in 2019, the total number of passengers was 17,364. So far, 51,283 passengers have travelled through the Sault airport in 2023.
