Thousands are enjoying Parklife today
If you thought day one of Parklife was hot, well then buckle in because day two of the UK's biggest metropolitan festival is a scorcher. Temperatures here at Heaton Park are to hit 27 degrees by mid-afternoon, and there's even a chance of thunder and showers.
Once again, those headed in for the second day dressed for the occasion, sporting everything from bucket hats and Hawaiian shirts to bikini tops and short shorts. It feels a little more Costa Del Soul than Costa Del Prestwich.Last night, music-fans were treated to standout performances from the likes of Little Simz, Rudimental, Aitch and Fred Again...
Those heading in shortly and over the next couple of hours might also want to keep in mind the yellow weather warning for thunderstorms that is in place today from midday to 9pm with all of Greater Manchester affected. Today's weather is looking set to be a mixed bag, with the heat and sun around for most of the day, but thunderstorms unfortunately predicted.
