In October 2023, Parker faced a career-threatening injury following a harsh challenge by Zungu during a Carling Knockout Cup match at Mbombela Stadium. Although an apology didn't come right away from Zungu, with Parker once mentioning in a radio interview that he hadn't received a formal apology from 'Ben 10'. Despite the tension between the two players, that spilled over with their former coaches Sead Ramovic and Rulani Mokwena nearly came to blows in TS Galaxy and Mamelodi Sundowns' 1-1 draw in the league back in April, Parker seems ready to move on from the incident.
