Twenty-four artists from the French electronic music scene entertained the crowds and 4,400 athletes from 168 Paralympic delaegations who took part in the games.

As athletes paraded around the stadium with their country’s flags, they were serenaded by France’s Republican Guard band, who performed a selection of French and international music including the anthem from Chariots of Fire.
