Marta Cox opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a spectacular bicycle kick as Panama started strongly at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland. Earlier, Paraguay rallied to a penalty shootout win over Taiwan after the game finished 2-2 following extra time at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.
