Israeli police fatally shot a 31-year-old Palestinian man after they said he rammed his car into a group of people at a bus stop on the outskirts of Jerusalem, killing two Israelis, including a child
The United Nations, United States, Britain, Germany and other countries condemned Friday's attack.
Hamas, the Palestinian armed Islamist group that runs the Gaza Strip, praised it as a "heroic operation" but did not claim responsibility. Footage showed a blue car that had crashed into a pole in front of the bus stop in the Ramot area, a part of Jerusalem that was annexed by Israel after the 1967 Middle Eastern war in a move not recognised abroad.
