Padres pitcher Yu Darvish riding 18-inning scoreless streak into Sunday's start against the Atlanta Braves
Yu Darvish’s quest for his 200th win resumes Sunday, in front of a national TV audience. With Saturday rained out, the 37-year-old veteran is now taking the mound on ESPN’s 'Sunday Night Baseball' broadcast against the Atlanta Braves . He is seeking to become the third Japanese-born pitcher to win 200 games in time split between Nippon Professional Baseball.
Here is how Darvish has fared against current Braves, including quite a bit of slug allowed to Saturday’s DH in Marcell Ozuna: The lineup behind Darvish matches the one written for Saturday’s rainout, with third baseman Manny Machado again batting fifth behind second baseman Luis Arraez, right fielder Fernando Tatis Jr., left fielder Jurickson Profar and first baseman Jake Cronenworth. With Arraez in the field, Xander Bogaerts will serve as the DH and bat sixth.
