With the Padres getting healthy, Rougned Odor, slowed by his own groin injury, is back into a part-time role
Odor injured his left groin on June 2, missed two games and started the next two before sitting three more games. He returned to the lineup Sunday.
Odor is hitting .364/.462/.546 with two doubles in 13 June plate appearances. Before that, Odor was instrumental in keeping the team afloat when Machado’s broke hand first since him to the shelf, pairing four homers and 15 RBIs with a .259/.333/.537 batting line across 60 plate appearances.to the bench against the Guardians’ right-handed starter. Kim is 2-for-20 over his last six games and hitless in his last three.
The rest of the order is identical to Tuesday’s lineup as the Padres look to win a second straight series. Tuesday’s win moved them to 32-34, 8 ½ games behind the Diamondbacks in the NL West and kept them three games out of a wild-card spot.
