Padres rank third in MLB attendance; Manny Machado confirms surgery plans
What the Padres accomplished — and, moreover, what their fans accomplished last night — has been anticipated for months.With their 56th sellout, the Padres set a single-season attendance record at Petco Park — with five home games remaining and having played two fewer games in their home ballpark than most seasons.
