San Diego County will get up to 1 inch of rain Monday and Tuesday while inland areas get far more. Temperatures could drop 15 to 20 degrees below normal.
Another North Pacific storm is headed toward San Diego County and it is much bigger than the one that brought a little rain and lots of cold air to the region a few days ago, says the National Weather Service.
The system will tap moisture from the sub-tropics as it sloshes into Southern California. The rain is expected to hit Orange County harder than San Diego County.Forecasters say the storm also could drop as much as 3 feet of snow in the upper San Bernardino Mountains, benefitting such ski resorts as Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and Mt. Baldy. The snow level will fall as low as 4,500 feet.
