PAC says the state has a legal obligation to take away any instrument used to commit a crime

The suspects in the murder of two women at a pig farm in Sebayeng are back at the Mankweng Magistrate's Court. Facing premeditated murder and attempted murder charges are Zacharia Olivier, Rudolf De Wet and William Musora. The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania is calling for the expropriation of the farmland where two women were killed in Limpopo.

The party says the state has a legal obligation to take away any instrument used to commit a crime. It says in this instance the land was used as an instrument. Their call follows the killing of two women at the Onverwacht farm in Limpopo. The two women were killed while collecting food at a dumping site on the farm.PAC Secretary General, Apa Pooe says, “The expropriation of the farm is not only a mere legal action, but a step towards restorative justice, and will also serve as a legal precedent that never again shall we allow racist farmers to continue to behave as if they are a law unto themselves.

“To continue to dehumanise African people and continue to believe that in these farms they have their laws and freedom. So as the PAC once we can do this successfully, we believe that it will send a very strong message”, adds Pooe.
