Police in western Pa. said a man was drunk when he left a gun in bushes outside of a Taco Bell on July 4 then threatened to kill a mattress in his jail cell.
A man who left a handgun in a bush outside a western Pennsylvania Taco Bell on July 4 also threatened, in a Facebook Live video, to shoot and kill people, a TV station reported.
Drake Thomas, a 30-year-old resident of Irwin, Westmoreland County, was arrested by North Huntingdon Township police on the porch of a closed restaurant while carrying a second loaded handgun,“Who’s ready to die tonight? Because I’m ready to die tonight,” Thomas said in the Facebook Live video. PennLive could not find the video on Thomas’ Facebook page. WPXI aired two brief excerpts from what they said was Thomas’ video.
Police said they went to a Goodwill store for reports of Thomas shouting and yanking on doors before they were told by the Taco Bell manager that a man had come into the restaurant, dropped a shell casing and left a gun in the bushes outside.Police also said that Thomas urinated in his cell and kicked a mattress while threatening to kill it.
According to online court documents, Thomas faces two gun possession charges as well as vandalism, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Thomas was remanded to the Westmoreland County Prison on Wednesday after failing to post $50,000 bail.If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
