House Speaker Mark Rozzi announced he is launching a statewide listening tour to hear from Pennsylvanians about how to address the gridlock that has stalled action on everything in the House, including his desire for delivering justice to childhood sexual abuse survivors.

With the state House of Representatives stuck in a partisan gridlock, House Speaker Mark Rozzi has decided to launch a statewide listening tour to gather input on how to address it and deliver justice for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

That was an issue Rozzi, himself a child sexual abuse survivor, has championed since first being elected in 2012. He was gratified earlier this month when formerto address that issue in hopes of it gaining passage in time to appear on the May 16 primary ballot for voter ratification. But the clock to get it through the mechanics to appear on that ballot runs out around Jan. 27.

To that end, he is going to be traveling the state to hear from Pennsylvanians about how they think the House can best move forward. He further called it a delay tactic to run out the clock on the Senate-passed package of proposed constitutional amendments to avoid getting them on the primary ballot, including the very one Rozzi has stated is his priority.
