Michael Bloom is facing more charges in Lycoming and Clinton counties plus a probation revocation hearing.
WILLIAMSPORT – A Lycoming County elevator contractor is headed to state prison for signing contracts and accepting payments for home elevators and lifts he never installed.
The document, to be filed in Luzerne County, will resolve a civil action there involving a metal roof business, the prosecutor said. She also denied him bail pending appeal but allowed him to self-surrender May 5 to begin serving his sentence. Two of the victims addressed the court by phone including one living in Massachusetts who explained the hardship of not having an elevator because knee issues make it difficult for her to go up and down stairs.
Earlier Thursday, the attorney general’s office filed additional charges against Bloom in Williamsport involving two new victims.
