“A lot of hard work, a lot of wins, a lot of losses but this team sticking together with the same team for two years and grinding it out in Alberta, it’s obviously an extremely tough province . “ pretty frightening,” said Ramsay, describing the final shot, in a phone interview with SaltWire Network on Jan. 22. “You could not make it any other way than almost missing it.
“She has been to Slams, she’s been to Scotties and much like Britt, it’s nice to have wisdom to guide Ashton and I along a little bit for our first time for a lot of this stuff. She is our wily veteran, even though she is young.” “I’ve played in many different types of lineups,” said Ramsay. “I quite enjoy this one a lot; you get to be front end and back end at the same time. It’s the best of both worlds.”It turns out that Geri-Lynn Ramsay of Summerside, P.E.I., has some curling history with her Alberta team members, Crystal Webster and Shannon Kleibrink.
