Revitalised Oxhey Jets will travel to runaway league leaders Amersham Town on Saturday with their confidence high after claiming their fourth successive victory with a 1-0 win over Molesey.
It was another impressive scalp for the youthful Jets side, who continue to develop under the management team of Dave Barnes and Tom Inch, although their progress is set to face arguably its biggest test so far this weekend. Molesey hit the bar and had the rebound cleared off the line, while a mass scramble saw Andre Lopes and Avto Akshiavili kept at bay by a wonderful save and bodies on the line.
The home side always carried a threat through Dylan Hickman-Singh and Lopes, but it was Ayres who secured the points with a fine strike that gave the keeper no chance.
