Durham police responded to calls about a bar right on Friday where a man was shot.
A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting Friday night in Pickering, Durham police said.
On May 5 at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers from West Division responded to calls that a fight was happening inside The Harp and Crown Pub on Kingston Road. During which a man was shot and taken to a Toronto trauma centre.Officers further stated they are looking for a male suspect described as “Black, early 20s, thin build, possibly had braided hair and was wearing a black sweatsuit with light stripes on the sides.
Investigators are asking anyone, including witnesses with cellphone footage, who was inside the bar at the time to contact Det. MacKinnon or Det. Smith of the West Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2529 or 2528. Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
