Hawks arrested four men over R400m worth of cocaine en route to Cape Town:
The Directorate for Priority Crime and Investigations , alongside Police officers, Western Cape Traffic Officers, have arrested four men for more than R400 million worth of cocaine.
According to Haws spokesperson Zinzi Hani, men between the ages of 39, 42, and 47 years old were arrested on Thursday on a highway bust on en route to Cape Town. The search was conducted where a large batch of quantity of drugs was found hidden in false wooden boards at the back of the truck. An operation was assembled on the N1 freeway, where the truck was spotted near Winelands Engen garage while travelling towards Cape Town. The arrest was made within an immediate effect.
This comes after last year, the Hawks also busted a shipment of cocaine worth over R400 million and the search for the three kingpins is ongoing, as per
