The difference in crossings between 2022 to 2021 is 56,331, which means the crossing grew by 266.4 per cent for the month of August.The International Bridge Administration today announced that one-way traffic crossings of the International Bridge at Sault Ste. Marie totalled 77,480 for the month of August 2022. Traffic for the calendar year-to-date on August 31, 2022, is 369,446. This represents a year-to-date increase of 234 per cent compared to 2021. The bridge has processed 103.

This difference in crossings comparing 2022 to 2021 is 56,331, which represents an increase of 266.4 per cent for the month of August.The change in traffic comparing 2022 to pre-pandemic crossings in 2019 for the month of August, overall traffic has decreased 48.8 per cent. The International Bridge funds operational costs with toll revenue, including the bridge structure, maintenance facilities, the Bridge Authority toll plaza, and building maintenance.
