Enthusiasts from all over the country donned their leathers for the ‘Wee Run Frae the Doc’s Auld Hoose’
More than 100 vintage motorcycles gathered in Blairgowrie recently before enjoying a run through some of east Perthshire’s beautiful countryside in what was the largest Vintage Motor Cycle Club event in Scotland since 2008.
Many of the once familiar manufacturers’ names from the past were represented, including BSA, Scott, Velocette, Norton, Triumph, Vincent and Indian as well as some modern classics. Iain, known fondly as ‘the Doc’, lived and worked in Blairgowrie for more than 30 years and was a regular at many vintage motorcycle events, having ridden vintage bikes for seven decades.
This year’s route left The Doc’s Auld Hoose, travelled through the centre of the town and on to Airlie, via the Den of Alyth.
