Police from across Saskatchewan are sending their condolences west after two Edmonton Police Service members were shot and killed Thursday.
On Thursday morning, EPS Chief Dale McFee, a former Prince Albert police chief and officer and former deputy corrections minister in Saskatchewan, provided some details surrounding the incident and ongoing investigation. McFee said the officers were responding to a domestic call near 114th Avenue and 132nd Street when they were shot after entering an apartment building.
“On behalf of the Weyburn Police Service, we want to share our condolences to the family of the two fallen officers. We also have our thoughts and prayers go out to the police officers and the police service for what they’re going through today,” said Chief Jamie Blunden on Thursday.Article content “In my community, blocks away from my house, we’ve lost two members of the Edmonton Police Service this morning,” said Boissonnault. “My heart goes out to their families to Chief Dale McFee and to the entire service in Edmonton.”
The Regina, Saskatoon, Estevan and Prince Albert police services expressed condolences on social media as well.
