There are 27 Ottawa residents in hospital with an active COVID-19 infection on Friday, up from 24 on Tuesday. Health officials say there are five people in the ICU because of an active COVID-19 infection. There are 23 new COVID-19 outbreaks in long-term care homes, retirement homes, hospitals and other settings since Tuesday. There are six new outbreaks in long-term care homes and eight new COVID-19 outbreaks in hospitals.
