Kaplan-Myrth, a family doctor who has championed the need for public-health protections during the pandemic such as getting vaccinated and wearing a mask, has herself been the target of hate-filled antisemitic emails, phone messages and death threats.Article content Rise Up Ottawa!, which organized the letter in support of a Jewish equity coach, is a grassroots group that organized an event in November to call attention to rising antisemitism and how it is impacting schools.
Several delegations of Jewish organizations, parents and students have appeared at the school board since last year to raise concerns and criticize the board for what they said has not been enough to combat antisemitism.
