“People with lung disease or heart disease, older adults, children, pregnant people, and people who work outdoors are at higher risk of experiencing health effects caused by forest fire smoke.” Environment Canada meterologist Peter Kimbell tells CTV News Ottawa easterly winds are pushing smoke out of the city, but relief could be short lived.
