Ottawa police were seen at the Consortium Centre Jules-Léger on Lanark Avenue at about 10 a.m.
Police said in an update online just after 11:30 a.m. that officers had cleared the area and that there was no threat to public safety. The Consortium Centre Jules-Léger specializes in education for francophone students who are deaf or blind as well as students who have other educational needs.
