Firefighters battled a two\u002Dalarm blaze in the Carlington area early Friday.
Just before 2 a.m., several people called 911 to report heavy smoke and flames coming from an attached shed of a semi-detached home in the 1100 block of Dorchester Avenue.
They attacked the fire in an attempt to prevent further spread, according to an Ottawa Fire Services media release, and searched the burning home for occupants and the attached residence which was deemed at risk of exposure to the flames.
