Backed into a corner by the defensively sharp Peterborough Petes, down 3-1 in their best-of-seven second round OHL playoff series, the 67’s need to find immediate answers in Game 5 Saturday afternoon at TD Place. A Petes win would send the 67’s into the summer, a disappointing finish given that Ottawa set a franchise record with 51 regular season wins and looked strong in their five game opening round series win over the Oshawa Generals.

The Petes received second period goals from Brennan Othmann and Chase Stillman to build up a 2-0 lead against 67’s goaltender Max Donoso. The 67’s got one back when Luca Pinelli scored his sixth goal of the playoffs on a second period powerplay, but couldn’t get a second past Petes goaltender Michael Simpson. With Donoso on the bench for an extra skater, Owen Beck put the game away by scoring into an empty net.
