One of the film industry's most acclaimed and sought after photographers and scene-shooters is coming to town in early June. Sir Roger A. Deakins is coming to Dallas June 8-11.

The June 8 screening will include a live introduction and a Q&A with Deakins as well as a chance to get an autograph on copies of his latest book of black and white photography,The book features unpublished stills of Deakins' photos made as far back as 1971 while he and his wife traveled around the world to some of his most iconic film shoots.

Deakins, a native of Torquay, Devon, England, started his film career with documentaries in the mid-1970s. One of his first shoots covered the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race, during which he spent nine months as a crew member between shooting.
