Orlando Pirates seem to be moving very fast this winter. Reports say Stellenbosch FC captain Deano Van Rooyen is a big target.
“KickOff can reveal that Stellenbosch FC are targeting an Orlando Pirates defender as part of a swap deal that could see their captain Deano van Rooyen joining the Buccaneers next season. Pirates are edging closer to signing Van Rooyen in a bid to reinforce their defence for next season. Now, Pirates are believed to have offered Thabiso Monyane to Stellies as part of a swap deal that could see Van Rooyen moving in the opposition direction next season.
“Pirates are desperate to sort out their right back position. The club has approached Stellenbosch for the services of Deano . Stellies have also been interested in Monyane since last season and there could be a swap deal on the cards,” the report concluded.Orlando Pirates have already made two more big decisions to replace senior players in midfield. Newer reports say the supporters may have just seen next season’s possible home kit.
After seeing the jersey pop around social media today, one of the leading football pages, Unplayable, posted the image of what could be Orlando Pirates’ leaked kit for next season. The design is the black home colour that includes red Adidas stripes on the shoulders, as well as the Vodacom sponsor in red. –
