Orlando Pirates have stated their unwillingness to entertain any African transfer offers for their star player Relebohile Mofokeng, despite interest from giants like Al Ahly. The club insists that they will only consider European moves for the 20-year-old talent. This stance comes after Mofokeng's impressive performance against Al Ahly in a recent 0-0 draw, which reportedly caught the eye of the Egyptian club's management.
It is believed that the club of the century are looking to have Mofokeng in their rankings this window. This in the hope that he can lead their charge at the, a 0-0 stalemate. The game at the Orlando stadium was enough to show the Egyptian side’s top brass that the 20-year-old is indeed quality.
This is not the first time Mofokeng has been linked with Al Ahly. Last season they were the only African side that was thought to be interested in signing him from Pirates. This in the face of European giants,It does, however, seem as if Pirates will only let Mofokeng go for a life changing deal abroad.
