Orlando Pirates winger Azola Matrose has joined Chippa United. The 21-year-old spent most of his years at Pirates nursing an injury.
The 21-year-old had a difficult spell at Pirates and was never able to make his senior debut for the Soweto giants. The young winger was kept out of the first team by a long-term injury and only featured for theMatrose was signed from Chippa as a teenager but never really got a chance to display his talent at Orlando Pirates.
“Azola’s return marks an important moment for our club as he will play a big role in the upcoming 2024/25 Betway premiership season.” UFC World Champion Dricus du Plessis will wear a custom pair of shorts paying homage to South Africa in his fight against ‘Izzy’ Adesanya.
