Following the team’s 2020 triumph under former coach Josef Zinnbauer, Riveiro is aiming to lead the Buccaneers to another cup success as the team is set to face Royal AM in the quarter-finals this evening.When the two teams played in the DStv Premiership clash at Chatsworth Stadium last Wednesday, Bucs emerged as 1-0 winners courtesy of a Deon Hotto goal.
“When you are representing such a club like Pirates, you know what it means, you know what the people are waiting for and we are going to do our best one more time in this new tournament this new opportunity to increase the club history,” said Riveiro, speaking through Pirates’ media department. “We know much more about Royal AM as they know much more now about Pirates, so those small details are going to play on Saturday, I’m sure.
