Opinion: The past three years feel like a blur, but it's still possible to find positives [Opinion]
Yes, of course, I’m here for the weather. Aren’t we all? Some of the things I’ve enjoyed doing include going to the beach, Balboa Park and the zoo. I’ve also appreciated spending time with my family and friends and slowly getting back to “normalcy.” If there’s a beautiful sunset, there’s a good chance I’m taking a photo of it. From gatherings to a smooth drive while listening to my favorite music, everything big or small, I try to find what brings me joy.
To my daughter, Sophie, you will always give me hope. You keep me going. You motivate me to be the best person I can be so that I can be a good role model for you. You keep me grounded. At times when I feel like I’m up against the wall, you’re there to remind me I can’t quit. I appreciate your innocence and the love you show me. I love watching the person you are quickly growing into. You’ve taught me patience and to be extra kind.
I realize more than ever that health is everything. Physical, mental and emotional. You’re not whole if one aspect is lacking. Take care of yourself. Life happens and you have to keep rolling with it. Otherwise, you’ll get stuck. Don’t get complacent; keep growing. No matter how small of a move you think it is, you might look back and realize that small change made a great impact. As difficult as it can be, continue to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
