Damien Cox: The Buffalo Bills are survivors, but they don’t look like Super Bowl contenders
That is what this season has always been about for thedon’t forget: Super Bowl or bust. Nothing less will do for a city that bases its collective mood on the performance of its beloved football heroes.
That would be at a neutral site, in Atlanta, if Kansas City were to be the opponent — a scenario many have assumed was almost automatic. But the Bills clearly have a lot of work to do to get that far. Perhaps expectations are so high for this explosive Buffalo squad that simply winning isn’t good enough any more. Now it has to be done in style with spectacular fireworks, every time. But that was the standard set in the playoffs last year and the first part of this season, before road losses to the Dolphins and New York Jets created some nagging questions about Sean McDermott’s team.the rest of the season.
Allen also fumbled three times, once out of bounds and another recovered by a teammate. The other one was returned for a Miami touchdown by defensive lineman Zach Sieler. Four Buffalo turnovers, including one on downs, doesn’t exactly generate confidence in this team’s Super Bowl chances.
