Re “Disgraced ex-deputy released early from jail” : Disgusted and disillusioned. This is how I describe my reaction upon reading about the early release, or as they call it, “home confinement” of a disgraced former sheriff’s deputy and proven sexual predator.
Jail overcrowding? Hardly! Sheriff Kelly Martinez is just a clone of former sheriff Bill Gore. She quickly reversed herself on a campaign stance regarding accountability. As The San Diego Union-Tribune constantly points out, jail deaths and scandals continue at unacceptable levels.
